Z -- TELEPHONE SITE PREPARATION, PROJECT #549-085.22 SOL IFB 549-52-95 DUE 082395 POC Contracting Officer, Joyce Cadwell, (214)302-7535 Furnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment and supervision to complete Project #549-085.22, Telephone Site Preparation at the VA Medical Center, Dallas, TX, in accordance with all terms, conditions, specifications and drawings. Work includes electrical, general construction, and mechanical. Provide site demolition and replacement of pavement, sidewalks, lamps, irrigation systems, site utilities landscaping and construction of new duct banks and manholes. Provide new telephone raceways and/or telephone closets in Bldgs. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 43, 44, 45, T47, T48, 60, 68, 69, 70, 71, 72, and 74. Most telephone rooms in Bldg. 2-Main Hospital Building (existing) will be constructed by others and fed by this contract. Limited raceways will be constructed in Bldg. 2-Clinical Addition and Bldg. 74, Spinal Cord Injury Center, both of which are under construction by others. Provide demolition and new work to construct new telephone rooms in designated buildings. Provide electrical panels, lighting, and power for new telephone rooms. Coordinate and phase this project with the work of Phase 2 and Phase 3 Correct Electrical Deficiencies (CED), Clinical Addition and Spinal Cord Injury Center. These projects are under construction, with exception of Phase 3 CED for which award is anticipated 9/95. ESTIMATED completion dates are 11/95, 8/96, Spring 97 and Spring 96 respectively. Cost range for this project is between $1 and 2 million. This acquisition is unrestricted to business size. Standard Industrial Code 1731, Construction-Special Trade Contractors-Electrical Work, applies to this acquisition and has a small business size standard of $7 million.
