Lease and maintain an automated prescription system for hospital pharmacy use. This equipment must be equal to or better than the existing Baker Model 103 Hospital Automated Prescription System. The lease period is to be one year, 1 Oct 95 through 30 Sep 96. The existing system consists of 186 drug cells with HRO, 30 super cells solo, 112 cassettes, 4 computer controllers, 4 computer interfaces, and 2 master counters. Estimated solicitation issue date is 17 Jul 95. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code applicable to this procurement is 7352. The size standard must not exceed $3.5 million to be classified as a small business. This solicitation is being offered unrestricted, however. Due to previous lack of response, the Government is planning to negotiate a sole source, firm-fixed price procurement with Automated Prescription Systems, Inc., Pineville, LA, the existing Contractor.
