Westinghouse Hanford Company, Richland, Washington is seeking responses from businesses interested in promoting the commercial application of a database system developed by Hanford employees. The software provides an electronic bridge between the waste generator, shipper, logistics, operations, technology, and engineering. In addition to tracking waste from the time of generation, it provides information on such issues as disposal requests, waste minimization, waste acceptance criteria, characterization, billing, storage, and treatment. WHC is seeking one or more partners to complete commercial development and to market the resulting product. Qualified business partners should have adequate resources to promote this software, including the completion of development as required and the marketing of the finished product. WHC facilities, equipment, and employees may be made available to support development. Contract format may involve Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA), Work for Others contract, Licensing arrangements, and/or others, as appropriate.
