PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: Construction of approximately 10,750 (GSF) Renovation of NIH Building 102. The work will be constructed in particular phases, with transition times between phases, when no construction shall proceed. This building is single story complex consisting of a ''Core'' Wing of aprroximately 10,750 s.f. containing, Office, Laboratory, Animal Facilities, and Toilet Rooms and two similar kennel wings of approximately 9,075 s.f. each and a separate, newer wing of approximately 10,000 s.f. The work includes asbestos removal; selective demolition; new ceilings and lighting; new heating ventilating and air conditioning; new building automation system; architectural finishes; handicappped restrooms; upgrade of fire alarm and sprinkler systems; and associated support work. Unit prices will be required on several items. Optional Services 1: All work in kennel wing A; Optional Services 2: All work in kennel wing B; Optional Services 3: Epoxy floors in portions of the central core; Optional Services 4: Temporary enclosed walkway and support work; Optional Services 5: Sprinklers in the central core. The estimated cost of construction ranges between $1,000,000 and $3,000,000 (inclusive of options). Construction is estimated to begin in the Autumn of 1995 with a performance period of 490 calendar days (inclusive of options).
