619-532-2082/Contract Specialist, Lucy Miranda/Contracting Officer,
Janet Buyson/Bid Results, 532-2355. The project consists of the
installation of two aboveground, 12,000 gallons each, horizontal single
wall steel diesel storage tanks and two aboveground, 12,000 gallons
each, horizontal single wall unleaded fuel storage tanks for bulk
loading and offloading and vehicle dispensing at the tank farm area.
Each tank is installed inside a prefabricated concrete containment
vault (110% tank capacity), suitable for aboveground or underground
installation. Two bulk fuel handling pump stations are provided capable
to off load unleaded and diesel fuel to all four tanks or to load
mobile tanker from the two bulk fuel storage tanks only. Each station
is equipped with a transfer pump, air eliminator, meter with auto stop
valve and emergency shutoff valve. The two fuel storage tanks for
vehicle dispensing will be each equipped with a submersible fuel
dispensing pump. The project includes relocating underground cables and
aboveground pipe to the existing fuel system so that the existing
dispensing/pumping systems cab be operational during the construction
of the new tank system. Provision for new and existing fuel system
isolation shall be provided. This will allow easy and simple demolition
of the existing fuel systems. When new tanks and pumping system are
operational and approved, the existing convault concrete tank and
interconnecting pipes are to be dismantled and removed at the nearby
storage yard. Existing concrete containment shall be demolished and
removed, complete and ready for use.--The estimated cost is between
$250,000 and $500,000.--Firm Fixed Price Contract.--Contract duration
