Z -- INDEFINITE QUANTITY CONTRACT FOR SSS IWS/LAN, VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN THE STATE OF MICHIGAN. Sol GS05P95GBD0078 due 082495. Scope of work includes but is not strictly limited to furnishing all necessary supervision, labor, tools and materials to perform all work under an Indefinite Quantity Contract to provide complete operating electrical and IWS/LAN (intelligent work station/local area network) systems as specified herein. Work includes, but is not limited to, installing IWS/LAN cabling from a LAN equipment rack location to workstations and printers, providing receptacle and data outlets, labeling and testing of data and power cables, conduit and wiring, modifications to existing electrical distribution systems, and removal of existing electrical and data systems. Work shall be performed as ordered by the Contracting Officer's Representative in Delivery Orders to be issued periodically during the term of the contract. Other work will be performed by a SSA (Social Security Administration) systems furniture contractor and a SSA IWS/LAN equipment vendor. The term of the base contract is 365 calendar days after the contractor receives Notice to proceed and may be extended by two 1 year options. Estimated construction cost (inclusive of options) is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The project is open to all business concerns in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Therefore, responses from both small and large business concerns will be considered and evaluated for selection. All large business concerns will be required to negotiate an acceptable subcontracting plan for small, small disadvantaged, and women-owned small business concerns prior to contract award. The Small Business Size Standard for this project is $7 million. Sealed bids will be opened publicly on August 24, 1995 at 2:00 P.M. (Local Time) in the GSA, Business Service Center, 230 S.
