PRESOLICITATION NOTICE - The work includes renovating the front and courtyard grounds along with the front entries and courtyard loggias to Building I at the Naval Air Station North Island, San Diego, CA. Work includes upgrading the front circular entry drive, the two main entrances to the building, enhancing the center courtyard and fountain and upgrade of loggia areas in front of guest rooms located on three sides of courtyard. Lighting will also be added to the front, fountain and loggia areas. Work also includes landscaping and exterior painting, and incidental related work, complete and ready for use.--The estimated cost is between $250,000 and $500,000.--Firm Fixed Price Contract.--Contract duration is approximately 120 calendar days.--This proposed contract is tentatively 100% set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDB).--The Standard Industrial Code is 1522 and the annual size standard is $17 million.--SDB General Contractors must respond in writing no later than 15 days after publication of this advertisement in the CBD.--The written response shall provide the following information: the IFB number N68711-95-B-7718, the firms complete name, address, and phone number, including area code, bonding limitation, capacity, and current availability, the firm's dollar limit for bid guarantee/performance guarantee capacity, provide a minimum of three references with same or similar type work that is currently in progress, or that has been successfully completed.--Lack of detailed responses to the above requested information may result in this solicitation being issued unrestricted.--Tentative issued date on or about 08 August 1995 with an opening date of approximately 30 days later (NOTE: BOD stated above is TENTATIVE).
