This project consists of reroofing Building 708 and Hangar 4 and 5 on Pope AFB, NC, to include demolition of existing roofing and insulation down to the substrate (deck). This condition occurs on all flat roofs. Installation of new insulation and EPDM membrane roofing over the entire complex with the exception of the existing pitched shingle roof portion of Building 708 which is to be shingled. Installation of new gutters, down spouts, flashing, trim and edge materials. The cost of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. This proposed acquisition is being considered for 100% set aside for Small Disadvantaged Business Firms (SDB). Interested SDB firms need to submit their interest not later than 11 Jul 95 and provide evidence of eligibility. If adequate interest is not received from SDB firms, the Solicitation will be issued unrestricted, therefore, replies are requested from all business concerns. SDB eligibility evidence to include performance references, previous similar projects completed, and positive statement of eligibility as a socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, along with bonding capability.
