This is a pre-solicitation notice to provide material and labor for new construction of an 88 bed segregation usit at the Federal Medical Center, Lexington, Kentucky. The unit will be approximately 30,500 gross square feet with approximately 1,600 gross square feet of mechanical penthouse. Sixteen of the segregation cells are located within a medical seclusion unit and in some cases have special features. Inspection of the existing conditions will be allowed during the pre-bid conference only. All work shall be peformed in strict compliance with the plans, specifications and the contract documents. This acquisition is not set-aside for small business or labor area concerns. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for this solicitation is 1542, General Contractors.
