Solicitation is for a stabilization project on the Department of Energy's Savannah River Site near Aiken, SC. The work shall consist of mechanically stabilizing approximately 2 acres to minimize soil erosion and sediment production. The work shall include grading and shaping the sideslopes of two canyons, installing three gabion structures for grade control, and installation of riprap and geotextile. Access into the bottom of the canyons will be very difficult. A site visit prior to bidding is strongly advised due to the complication of access. SRS is a restricted access Government facility and all persons entering must be U.S. Citizens. This is a 100 percent Small Business Set-Aside procurement. (177)
