Palmisciano, Contracting Officer at (401) 841-2442 X289 The Naval Undersea Warfare Center anticipates purchasing on a Firm Fixed Price Basis one (1) Type 18 Periscope Set Indicator and Control (I&C) box as a First Article Test Unit. The basic requirement also includes technical data, and Provisioned Item Ordering. It is also anticipated that an additional eighty (80) I&C boxes and 1,200 hours of engineering services will be acquired as options. The engineering services will be based on Time and Material provisions. The Type 18 I&C boxes will be built mostly according to Government performance specifications; some components will be fabricated to build-to-print drawings. A portion of the specification is classified at the Confidential level and prospective offerors will require a clearance at that level of safeguarding in order to receive the specification. A technical proposal will be required in response to the Request for Proposals. Contract award will made to the offeror submitting a technically acceptable proposal that offers the Greatest Value to the Government. This acquisition is being set aside 100% for Small Business Concerns. All responsible Small Businesses may submit a proposal which will be considered.
