EPA has a requirement for a Inductively Coupled Plasma - Mass Spectrometer (ICP/MS) brand name or equal to the Perkin Elmer Elan 6000 ICP/MS. The Elan 6000 is a fully computer controlled, bench mounted ICP Mass Spectrometer consisting of the Elan 6000 spectrometer and Windows NT based application software. It includes an installation kit, Gilson Minipulse 4-channel peristaltic pump, gas lines, cooling lines, flexible vent tubing, waste container, IEEE cable, and IEEE interface card. The system requires but does not include the computer, monitor, printer, printer cable, or Windows NT operating software. Design features include: Two side-mounted turbo-molecular pumps for easy access and maintenance, unique quadrupole design, platinum or nickel skimmer and sampler cones, 40-Mhz free-running RF generator, patented PlasmaLok interface, corrosion-resistant sample introduction system including a Ryton crossflow nebulizer with GenTips and Ryton spray chamber, and a fully-demountable torch assembly. EPA plans to trade in their existing Perkin Elmer Elan 5000 ICP/MS for the trade-in value against the purchase price of the Elan 6000. This trade-in value will be considered in evaluating prices offered. The RFP will be issued approximately July 17, 1995. Proposals will be due approximately 30 days after the RFP issuance date. Interested parties may obtrain a copy of the solicitation by submitting a written request. Telephone and FAX requests will not be honored. A limited number of copies are available. Only one copy shall be issued to a corporate entity, regardless of the number of requests from one or more different geographic locations. Copies will be issued on a first come, first serve basis.
