433-0770. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment
Washington (FISCNORDETWASH) has a requirement in support of the Norfolk
Naval Shipyard Detachment (PESO), Annapolis, MD for an
Ultra-violet/visual spectrophotometer. The equipment shall consist of,
but is not limited to the following: The system will be double beam
spectrometer with single monochrometer which can monitor sample decay
nearly continually. The light sources shall be lamp sources suitable
for the application. It shall follow directly through lens(es), the
prisms and the samples to the grating. Light shall be diverted by
prisms rather than reflected by mirrors. The light path shall pass
through an adjustable slit in order to segregate the spectral band
width required. Slit adjustment shall be controlled by the computer. An
automatic sample holder and introduction device shall be capable of
holding not less than 30 samples and have a flush capability. The
computer shall be a stand-alone type unit and be IBM compatible. The
operating system shall be multi-tasking and multi-user environment,
MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows. Proposals will be evaluated based upon
