SOL N00140-95-3071 SYN 435 POC Contact Point, Scott Cobb, (215)697-9645, Contracting Officer, Eileen McGlinn, (215)697-9640 The Fleet Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Detachment, Philadelphia, intends to modify contract N00612-90-D-9006 with San Diego Community College District to provide for additional Yeoman ''A'' classes, JOBS Strand III classes, and Navy Keyboarding Labs. These additional classes are required to ensure continuity of instructor services at the Naval Technical Training Center (NTTC), Meridian, MS. The referenced contract currently provides instructor services through 30 September 1995. The proposed modification will provide additional classes for a six (6) month extension of services (four month basic period, plus two (2) one (1) month option periods) through 31 March 1996 to ensure continuity of instructor services at NTTC, Meridian until the competitive follow-on contract can begin. The proposed modification will provide 14 additional Yeoman ''A'' classes, 4 JOBS Strand III classes, and 36 Navy Keyboarding Labs, along with options for up to 8 Yeoman ''A'' classes, 2 JOBS Strand III classes, and 20 Navy Keyboarding Labs. FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with San Diego Community College District of San Diego, CA for this requirement. This firm is considered the only source capable of providing services which meet all of the Navy's requirements by the date when currently available classes will be exhausted. Interested parties may identify their interest and prove their capability to respond to this requirement. THIS NOTICE OD INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all information received within forty-five (45) days after date of this notice of intent will be considered by the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
