Estimated between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Performance time is 150 days. Work consists of, but is not limitedto the following major items of work and are listed for the Contractor's convenience in order that he may determine the general scope of work involved. All related site work. Replace stacks and breeching for three boilers; new control room; and personal computer interface including ability to receive date and ability to use PC to change boiler control system adjustments; Accomplish all removal of asbestos required for proper accomplishment of the work; Install 150' of fence around laydown area to include two gates; Remove fence after completion of all other work; Control panels in control room. Install additional PC with all software for 100% PC backup; All chemical tanks, pumps, and piping; Blowdown/makeup water heat exchanger. Telephone requests will not be honored. The solicitation will be issued as unrestricted but may be considered 100% set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should as early as possible, but no later than 15 days of this notice, indicate interest in the acquisition by providing to the contracting office evidence of capability to perform, including references and points of contact for similar type work (SIC Code) in this dollar magnitude, and a positive statement of eligibility as a socially and economically disadvantaged business concern. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued as unrestricted without further notice.
