repairs (demolition of section of chimney stacks, rebuilding of section
of chimney stacks, brick repointing, crack sealing, gunite lining),
electrical repairs, lighting repairs, lightning proctection system
repairs, and repainting (including preparation of existing chimney
stack surface for repainting, removal and disposal of assumed lead
contaminated paint) of the chimney stacks at Buildings 116/118
Washington Navy Yard and Building 73, Anacostia Naval Station; and
incidental related work. Estimated Cost Range is between $500,000 and
$1,000,000. The Standard Industrial Code is 1741. The related Small
Business Size Standard is $7 million. The proposed contract listed here
is being considered 100% set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business
(SDB) Concerns. Interested SDB Concerns should provide in writing to
the Contracting Officer as early as possible, but not later than 15
days after receipt of this notice, specifically: 1) a list of
references past and present government/commercial contracts, similar to
the work described in this notice, which includes the contract number,
title of contract, dollar value, name of person to contact, and
telephone number, 2) a positive statement of self certification as a
SDB Concern, and 3) a statement of capability to obtain the required
bonds. If adequate interest is not received from SDB Concerns, the
solicitation with be issued on an unrestricted basis and another notice
will be issued. Therefore, replies to this office are requested from
all interested business as well as SDB Concerns. The Bid Opening Date
is on or about 19 September 1995. Submit requests by fax for receiving
plans and specifications when they become available on or about 16

in person from Building 166, West Side, 1st Floor, Washington Navy
Yard. There is no charge for plans and specs. Only one set per firm.
