The project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for replacing the existing doors with a ''rapid doors'' at eight locations on the docks. Seven of these locations have 2 pairs of doors each, one pair for entering the workroom from the dock and one pair for exiting the workroom. The other location is a pair of doors noted on the plan as ''1/2 door.'' The accompanying drawings show adjacent electrical work. This contractor will be required to adjust the existing openings and structure to receive the doors and extend the electrical to service the locations. Cutting, patching, and painting to match the affected surfaces is part of the contract. Because all docks will remain in continuous operation while this work is being done, only two locations will be available at any one time, and these will not be adjacent doors. No demolition will be permitted until the contractor has in hand all the material for that particular set of doors. The estimated cost range is between $90,000 and $100,000.
