The project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to remove existing 8'' thick PCC pavement, asphalt patches, and base course. Excavate subgrade to required depth and provide compacted 9'' thick Type I aggregate base course. Prepare joints, dowel and tie bars, etc., and place 12'' thick PCC pavement (Type III High Early Strength). The work shall include, but not be limited to, the following: dowel bars or baskets, deformed tie bars, keyway, hot-poured joint sealant, dowel lubricant, bituminous expansion joint filler material, sawcutting, curing, and surface sealing of new concrete, according to plans and specifications contained in the solicitation package. The base offer is based on the assumption that the repairs will not require unsuitable subgrade removal and replacement with lean concrete. The estimated cost range is between $280,000 and $335,000.
