Jones Management Services is seeking to procure Chemical Tracking System Software/Hardware and Services necessary to support the USDA, ARS, Western Regional Research Center. This system shall include all software, hardware and services required to track up to 50,000 chemical containers from receipt through disposal, including interim transfer. The system shall have the ability to scan manufacturer's Bar Code data and to provide Bar Code labels for tracking. The vendor shall provide initial inventory and Bar Code labelling. The system shall be compatible with or convertible to Oracle data base and AIX-Unix operating system. The system shall operate in Windows and be compatible with Local Area Network and shall be accessible from Macintosh and IBM PC's. This system shall have the ability to access MSDS data from CD ROM and be able to accept data from locally synthesized chemicals. This MSDS data shall be electronically accessible from all computers on the LAN. The system shall have the ability to indicate hazardous classification, flag suspense dates and search data base on various and multiple categories to locate a specific chemical. The system shall have the ability to initiate paperless purchasing of chemicals from the laboratories.
