70 -- FEDERAL RETIREMENT BENEFITS CALCULATION SOFTWARE POC Jeanie Foster, Contracting Officer, (303) 969-7226 The Bureau of Reclamation, Administrative Service Center (ASC) anticipates a requirement for an integrated off-the-shelf PC package for the automated calculation of Federal Retirement Benefits for both the FERS and CSRS retirement plans. The package must be capable of computing retirement benefits based on both service dates and salaries for multiple periods as well as service for those multiple periods under any mix of varying plans including FERS, CSRS, military, law enforcement, foreign service, and Congressional. Benefits must be calculated with all of the following options: 1) with/without continuing life insurance 2) with/without continuing health insurance and 3) with/without survivor benefits. The package must be capable of operating on IBM compatible PC and be available for use in Microsoft DOS, Windows, and Unix operating systems, on Novelle and Banyan Vines networks. Other operating capabilities are use CGA, EGA, VGA, SVGA monitors, and with printed reports produced for dot matrix, HP Laser Jet and Postscript printers. Package security must be provided to restrict access to personal data to assure compliance with the Privacy Act. Interested concerns must respond within two weeks of the date of this notice and shall provide sufficient information describing how the concern's software complies with the above listed requirements. This is not a formal solicitation; however concerns which respond will receive a copy of a solicitation if and when it becomes available. This synopsis may represent the only official notice of such a solicitation.
