Objectives of the study will be to evaluate methods used by the National Marine Fisheries Service to estimate catch and bycatch quantity and composition, and fish population biological characteristics, for groundfish fisheries conducted in the U.S. Exclusive Economic Zone off Alaska. The contractor shall examine and review procedures used by observers to collect data and methods employed to process and analyze observer and industry data. The contractor shall provide recommendations regarding potential cost effective improvements to sampling strategies and estimation procedures. The period of performance shall be one year.
