J -- MAINTENANCE AND RENTAL OF ASCOM/HASSLER POSTAL EQUIPMENT LOCATED IN OHIO Sol DAKF61-95-R-0009. Due 090795. POC Contracting Officer, Linda V. Roberts, (608) 388-3109. The Directorate of Contracting, Fort McCoy, WI intends to negotiate and award a contract to Ascom/Hassler to provide maintenance of Government owned postal equipment and rental/maintenance of compatible meter heads. Equipment is located at various US Army Reserve Centers in the state of Ohio. Government owned equipment includes Scales - Ascom Hassler Models 100-10, 1030, MP10, and Mail Machines - Ascom Hassler Models 101, 220-1 and 1337. Rented meters are Ascom Hassler Models 1333, 1441 and 16413. Award will be made on an all or none basis. Contract performance period is 1 October 1995 through 30 September 1996 with two one-year options. Authority: 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) services are available from only one or a limited number of sources. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to the intended vendor and all firms that respond to this synopsis of intent. If a solicitation is issued there will be an $8.00 fee for receipt of the solicitation package. See Numbered Note 22. (177)
