BARNARD, 805-982-5094 The Navy intends to competetively acquire an analysis of the electric power market as it affects geothermal development on military lands. Special emphasis should be placed on the western states and how conditions have evolved since the enactment of PURPA in 1978, utility role in generation, transmission, and distribution, changing regulatory roles at the federal and state levels, and new or emerging market roles which may or may not be assumed by utilities, non-utility generators, or other entities. The Navy anticipates award of a Fixed Price contract. It is anticipated that any resulting contract will not exceed $100,000. Only written requests will be honored for copies of the solicitation.
