Project includes: construction survey & staking; construction scheduling; contractor sampling & testing; 30,500 ton hot asphalt concrete pavement; 110 acres clearing & grubbing; 149,000 ton subbase; 59,000 ton emulsified asphalt treated base; 10,100 lnft culvert; 9,000 lnft silt fence; 2,400 lnft earth berms; 507,000 cuyd excavation & embankment; 4,000 M-Gal watering; 4,400 sqyd roadway obliteration; 12,000 cuyd subexcavation; 44,000 lnft type 1-5w barbed wire fence; 27,000 lnft type 3 woven wire fence; 15,500 sqyd earthwork geotextiles; 6,675 lnft guardrail; 106,000 sqyd topsoil; 250 ea willow cuttings; 1,000 cuyd riprap; 4,100 lnft controlled blasthole; 76,000 lnft removal of fence; 7,000 hr flagger; 600 hr pilot car; 188,000 lnft permanent pavement markings; 460 slry units seeding/mulching; 3 ea stream channel realignment; and other small items of work. Work shall be completed by August 1, 1997. Estimated price range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Presolicitation Notices are being provided to firms on this agency's mailing list concurrently with the publication of this synopsis.----The following applies only to Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
