The subject project is designed to provide a new parking lot, renovate existing parking lots and roads, and to improve site drainage and lighting in the hospital area(Bldg 160) at F.E. Warren AFB, WY. Work includes but is not limited to selective demolition and replacement of existing sidewalk, pavement, curb and gutter, and crosspans; lighting improvements; drainage improvements; roto-mill removal of asphalt pavement from roads and parking areas followed by overlayment with hot bituminous asphalt; construction of new parking lot; and the reconstruction of an existing parking lot. Performance period for Firm Fixed Price construction contract awarded as a result of this solicitation will be 90 days. Invitation for Bid (IFB) is limited and will be furnished to the requester on a first received, first served basis until supply is exhausted. Telephone requests will not be honored. The issue date will be on or about 18 July 95 with bid opening date 30 days after issuance. The magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. This action is being considered for 100% set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should notify our office, in writing, of their intention to bid on the project as a prime contractor as early as possible but not later than 5 July 95. This notification must include a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, evidence of capacity to obtain required bonds, and specific information which demonstrates the capability to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude. Complete information concerning management experience in similar work and financial status should be submitted with references. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice.
