The contractor shall provide the work under this contract consists of providing all materials, labor and equipment to install new doors, windows, vinyl siding, soffits, fascias and trim on 38 houses in the staff housing complex at the U.S. Penitentiary, Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. The magnitude of this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The solicitation will be issued on July 21, 1995. A pre-bid conference/site walk through will be conducted on August 3, 1995 at 10:00 a.m. at the Project Trailer Conference Room. All interested bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the pre-bid conference/site walk through. Bid opening will be held on August 22, 1995 at 1:00 p.m. at the Project Trailers Conference Room. The contractor will have 224 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed to complete the work. Specifications may be reviewed between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday beginning July 21, 1995 at the Project Trailer Conference Room, United States Penitentiary, Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. Request for bid packages must be submitted in writing at any time for those interested bidders. This contract is set-aside for qualified Small Business concerns only. Bonding requirements are as follows: (1) Performance bond is 100% of original contract price, (2) Payment bond is 50% of contract price, (3) bid bond is 20% of bid price.
