The work to be performed under this project shall consist of providing the services, labor, equipment and materials for renovating the existing materials and structures building 49. There will be construction a new lobby addition, stair towers and mechanical equipment room. The approximate size of the existing materials and structures building is 83,000 square feet. The magnitude of the construction project is estimated at more than $10,000,000.00 (million). The firm which shall be awarded this contract shall be required to subcontract 20 percent of the total contract value to small disadvantage business. Bid packages will be issued on or about August 1, 1995. Only one site showing will be conducted. The tentative date for the site showing is on or about August 10, 1995. Bid opening will be held on or about September 5, 1995. Request for copies of this procurement should be received as soon as possible in order to facilitate mailing of same to the extent copies are available. The proposed solicitation is a 100 percent labor surplus area set-aside. A fixed price contract is contemplated. This is an unrestricted procurement.
