Simmons, (804)728-3115 The Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Hampton,
Virginia intends to enter a 12 month lease for IVAC Corp IVAC Model
4200 pumps. FAR 6.302-1 is referenced as the authority to enter into
subject agreement. The IVAC pump is essential to the clinical mission
of this facility for the reasons listed below. These pumps are portable
and display the systolic blood pressure, the diastolic blood pressure,
the pulse, and the temperature at one time. The pumps are able to
monitor blood pressure as well as oral, axillary, and rectal
temperatures. Small, medium and large reusable blood pressure cuffs are
a part of the package. Disposable cuffs are available upon request.
These pumps have both manual and automatic blood pressure/pulse modes.
They also have the capability to redisplay the results of at least the
10 previous measurements stored prior to the one being displayed.It is
this VA's belief that the above requirements can only be met by IVAC
4200 pumps. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive
proposals, however, if an interested party believes they can meet the
above listed minimum essential characteristics, they may submit a
statement of capabilities. Information furnished shall include enough
material, in sufficient detail, to perform a proper evaluation of their
ability to meet these characteristics.Closing date is 45 days after
