The Defense Electronics Supply Center (DESC) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Purdue Research Foundation, the award of a modificaton to contract DLA900-90-D-0305. Subject modification will extend the period of performance an additional 14 1/2 months from 16 Aug 95 to 31 Oct 96. Two options of three months each are also possible. Purdue currently operates the Metals Information Analysis Center (MIAC) under the subject contract. The effort includes, but is not limited to: collection, review, analysis, appraisal, summary and dissemination of pertinent and timely information on the vital technical area of Metals. DESC believes that Purdue Research Foundation is the only known source capable of meeting all of the Government's minimum requirements for this effort. This is not a competitive procurement and no solicitation is available. See Note 22. (178)
