C -- REPLACE TRAY CONVEYOR DUE 080495 POC Contact Point, Diane Ralston, (414)384-2000x6998, Contracting Officer, Diane Ralston, (414)384-2000x6998 Professional A/E design services to provide all necessary services which will result in the preparation of a design development program submission, preliminary drawings, working drawings, specifications, including asbestos abatement documents, cost estimates, construction period services, and site visits for Project No. 695-96-106, Replace Tray Conveyor System in the main kitchen, Building 111 at the VA Medical Center, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Work will consist of complete demolition, removal and replacement of existing tray make-up and dirty tray breakdown conveyor lines, floor tile, architectural, mechanical, and electrical modifications. In addition, the A/E will be required to incorporate energy savings equipment and design specifications for current energy usage. The evaluation criteria for selection and contract award is as follows: (1) recent specialized experience of firm in type of work required; (2) professional capacity of the firm to accomplish the contemplated work with the time and cost limitations; (3) professional qualifications of the staff, sub-contractors, and consultants to be assigned to the project; (4) Past performance on contract with Government agencies and private industry in terms of cost control, qualified of work, and compliance with performance; and (5) location in general geographical area of the project, and knowledge of the locality of the project. The estimated construction cost is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Area of consideration is restricted to firms within a 50 mile radius of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. A/E firms which meet the requirements described in this announcement are invited to submit a completed SF 254/255 for specific project, not later than August 4, 1995. SIC Code 8711 applies. A firm-fixed price contract will result from this acquisition. The estimated performance period of the resultant contract is 12 weeks from date of award. This is not a Request For Proposal (RFP).
