Y -- CONSTRUCTION ATCT SOL DTFA06-95-B-30053 DUE 082395 POC LaTonia Vickers, Procurement Technician, (404)305-5819, FAX (404)305-5774 Construction of a Low Activity Functional Shaft Airport Traffic Control Tower (ATCT), Brookley Field, Mobile, Alabama.--Work includes, but is not limited to constructing a 97' 10'' tall to cab floor and 116' 11'' to top of raceway on the cab roof. Post tensioned, precast concrete tower shaft with a steel framed, metal panel, and a octagonal shape glass enclosed observation cab atop. The tower shaft is 22' 7'' square shape with an elevator stairwell and cable chase. The intermediate levels of the tower shaft contain small functionalareas, one junction level beneath the tower observation cab. The tower has two restroom facilities. The observation cab is a completely finished area with carpeting, suspended ceiling, and metal framed with plastic laminated covered wood equipment mounting consoles about the entire perimeter. The base building 26' x 40' 8'' single story concrete masonry blocks with a metal framed roof system, including office space and two restroom facilities. The tower is attached to the base building via a 24' 5'' x 16'' concrete masonry and glass metal panel structure named ''Link''. Site work includes the construction of approximately 3,150 linear feet of asphalt roadway, and asphalt parking area, and the installation of utilities.--Estimated price range is $2,500,000.00-$5,000,000.00.--Estimated performance time is 500 calendar days.--All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered.--NOTE: For Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital andbonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates up to $500,000.00 per contract to provide accounts receivable financing. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $500,000.00 per contract. DOT provides 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses.
