excavating the Nueces River overflow channel, approximately 800 feet in
length with bottom width of 40 feet and improving (widening) the
existing Rincon Bayou channel at two locations totalling approximately
600 feet in length with channel bottom widening of about 40 feet. The
estimated price range of the work is $25,001 to $100,000. The work
area is situated near the Gulf Coast approximately 10 miles northwest
of Corpus Christi in Patricio County, Texas. Solicitation packages are
anticipated to be available July 21, 1995. Requests for solicitations
should be received on or before August 08, 1995. The bid opening is
tentatively scheduled for August 22, 1995, at the office of the Bureau
of Reclamation, Austin Reclamation Field Office, 300 East 8th Street,
Room 801, Austin, Texas. The contract completion time is 60 calendar
days. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation,
additional sets will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check
or money order of $9.00 each. After issuance, the solicitation may be
viewed, without charge, at the following offices of the Bureau of
Reclamation: Austin Reclamation Field Office; Oklahoma-Texas Area
Office, 420 West Main Street, Suite 630, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; or
Great Plains Regional Office, Federal Building, Room 2005, 316 North
26th Street, Billings, Montana. All responsible sources may submit a
bid which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. For this
acquisition, the small business size standard is $17,000,000 and the
