PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: This agency desires a firm, fixed-priced contract to construct a Base Civil Engineer (BCE) Maintenance Facility which provides administrative space, classrooms, mobility storage area, general covered storage space and a variety of shops. Shops include structural, electrical, entomology, roads and grounds, mechanical, power production and utilities maintenance. Classrooms consist of two large classrooms with one to be partitioned in the middle and a small computer training classroom. Administrative space consists of a variety of offices which will be furnished with systems furniture under a separate project. Primary consturction will consist of site work utilities, slab on grade, precast concrete panels, brick and metal siding for the walls and seamless metal roof. All work is to be performed in strict accordance with specifications and drawings. Estimated bid opening date is August 22, 1995 at 2:00 P.M. Upon issuance of Notice to Proceed, performance period is 10 months. Estimated magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. There is a $29.00 non refundable deposit per set of specifications and drawings. The non refundable deposits must be in the form of a cashier's check, certified check, or money order made payable to the U.S. Treasury. Company and personal checks will NOT be accepted.
