provides for the necessary services, materials and facilities required
for the acquisition of between 550-850 Frequency Hopping Multiplexer
(FHMUX) units in the base year, and 1200-1600 units in the first Option
Year. The second Option will be for a probable quantity of 1200-1600
units. Option Two is presently unfunded. Deliveries on the basic award
will begin 4th Qtr FY97, the 1st Option 4th Qtr FY98, and 2nd Option
4th Qtr FY99. This acquisition will be negotiated under the authority
of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(b)(1) (Only One Responsible
Source) with Xetron Corporation, Cincinnati, OH. Xertron Corporation is
the only responsible producer who has designed and tested the FHMUX to
military environmental standards. SEE Note(s): 22 & 73. C4IEW has
established an Electronic Bullentin Board (EBB) to provide electronic
transmittal of Request for Proposal (RFPs) and Invitations for Bids
(IFBs) from Government to industry. Effective 1 Oct 1994, all
solicitation issued from Fort Monmouth for acquisition over the small
purchase threshold will be solicited via the EBB. As of 1 Jan 1995,
hard copies will no longer be distributed. (Exceptions are Post and
Station Acquisitions.) All interested parties wishing to do business
with CECOM are invited to access, operate, send and receive data from
the CECOM EBB System. To become a user of the EBB, you will need an
identification code and password in addition to a computer terminal
equipped with the necessary hardware and software to interface with the
EBB System. Detailed information regarding system requirements is
contained in the U.S. Army CECOM EBB User's Manual. A User's Manual
identification code and password will be issued upon request. All
requests must include 1) Company Name 2) Point(s) of Contact Name(s)
and title(s) 3) return addresss(es), and 4) telephone number(s). Please
