(402)221-4266. The work will include the following: (Approx.
quantities) The project includes the upgrade of the existing wastewater
treatment facility which includes new process buildings and the
abandonment of some existing process buildings. New processes include
headworks building; grit removal; comminutor; influent flow
measurement; generator; influent lift station; primary clarifiers;
trickling filter recirculation pumps; final clarifiers; ultraviolet
disinfection; effluent flow measurement; sludge freeze dry bed; sludge
sand dry beds; ferric chloride chemical addition for phosphorus
removal; and several service buildings which include office,
laboratory, equipment repair, and garage. Reusable processes include
two-140 foot diameter trickling filters; existing final clarifier
basins will be converted to solid contacts basins; new anaerobic
digester (with new mechanical equiopment); one anerobic digester will
be converted to sludge storage; existing control building to be
converted to mechanical/sludge building. Abaondoned processes include
existing headworks; primary clarifiers; wet well; two-140 foot diameter
trickling filters; chlorine contact basin; chlorine/dechlorination
equipment and sludge sand drying beds. The estimated construction cost
of this project is between $5,000,000 and $7,500,000. Contractor's
Quality Control will be a requirement in this contract. The Contractor
will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to
proceed and complete the work 540 calendar days after receipt of Notice
to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case
of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and
payment bonds will be required. Bid sets will be available on/a July
20, 1995. Half-size plans and specifications will be furnished upon
request. All requests for solicitation packages should be made in
writing no later than 14 days prior to bid opening. After such time,
packages will be furnished if supply is available. It has been
determined that the number of sets be limited to 1 (one) per firm
(additional copies will be the responsibility of the requestor). Please

SPECIAL NOTES: All responders are advised that this requirement may be
cancelled or revised at any time during the solicitation, selection,
selection evaluation, negotiation and/or final award structure and
