A -- INTEGRATED ENGINEERING SERVICES TO SUPPORT R&D PROGRAMS FOR GROUND BASED AND AIRBORNE ELECTRONIC CONTROL SYSTEMS SOL DAAB07-95-R-B514 DUE 071995 POC Sharon L. Extension of DAAB07-90-D-H010, T&M Contract for six (6) months w/2 3 month options to cover the gap between the end of the current contract and the award of the high-tech omnibus. This extension is to support C2SID with engineering services and material for ground based and airborne electronic systems. A wide range of technical support services shall be delivered which requires expertise in computer and applications engineering, electrical and mechnical engineering, avionics configuration modifications, and airframe modification in accordance with appropriate flight safety guidelines. A non-competitive negotiation is proposed with Vitronics Inc., Eatontown, NJ for this extension. The solicitation may include more detailed information concerning preparation of an offer. Responses to be directed to CECOM, ATTN: AMSEL-ACCA-B-AK(RIC), Fort Monmouth, N.J. 07703-5000. All responsible sources may submit a Bid/quote/proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The US Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) has established an Electronic Bulletin Board (EBB) to provide electronic transmittal of Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Invitations for Bids (IFBs) from Government to Industry. ALL SOLICITATIONS ISSUED FROM FORT MONMOUTH FOR ACQUISITIONS OVER The SMALL PURCHASES THRESHOLD WILL BE SOLICITED VIA THE EBB. All interested parties wishing to do business with CECOM must access, operate, send and receive data from the CECOM EBB system. As OF 01 JANUARY 1995 HARD COPIES WILL NO LONGER BE DISTRIBUTED. (Exceptions are Post, Camp, and Station acquisitions). To become a user of the EBB you will need an identification code and password in addition to a computer terminal equipped with the necessary hardware and software to interface with the EBB system. This hardware and software required includes a computer, modem, telephone line, communication software, word processing software and a printer. If one intends to print downloaded files (after decompressing) a fast, higher resolution printer is advantageous. The EBB itself is an IBM compatible computer running commercial bulletin board software. The EBB is equipped with Hayes Ultra 14.4 baud modems that are capable of supporting other Hayes compatible 14,400 baud or lower modems. Baud rates less than 9600 are not recommended. The EBB runs on MS-DOS Operating System Software. The majority of files will be created and stored on the EBB in Microsoft's Word for Windows format since this is the standard CECOM word processing software. If a file is not in Word for Windows format, the file will be in Rich Test Format or ASCII formate - a format capable of being imported into Word for Windows. While not required, a 17'' Super VGA monitor will better accommodate on screen viewing of certain solicitation documents. Detailed in formation regarding system requirements is contained in the U.S. Army CECOM EBB User's Manual. A User's Manual Identification Codel and password will be issued upon request.
