technical support to the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC).
Contract will be awarded for a one (1) year period with options to
extend for four additional one (1) year periods. Contract will be an
indefinite-delivery requirements contract, with all work being
performed under individual delivery orders to be issued against the
basic contract. Contractor shall provide technical support to DTIC and
its user communities in the areas of information discovery,
acquisition, and dissemination; document processing, storage and
retrieval; wide area network tools; network and system administration;
interfaces; information support. Support may include studies and
analyses; prototyping new applications and transitioning them to
operational status; software development; systems integration;
examination of state-of-the-art areas of new technologies;
configuration management and capacity management, including
recommendations for additional hardware/software; off the shelf
software customization/enhancement; requirements analysis; planning
support, and technology assessment; development of hardware and
software specifications based on user requirements; creation of reports
describing the recommendations for integration into DoD activities;
implementation of new technologies and tools into current systems and
processes; creation of new products and services using new
technologies, techniques and tools; usability testing; training and
support for applications. Programming task orders may include
requirements analysis; design, human computer interaction
considerations, examination of security issues, consideration of open
standards, implementation, integration, prototyping, quality assurance,
configuration management, functional testing, usability testing, and
documentation. Security considerations, such as encryption
technologies, will apply to all aspects of the program; a Secret
security clearance will be required. The issue date for the
solicitation SPO900-95-R-1004 is on or about 31 Jul 95. To request a
