Carter, 205-544-8953 CSC intends to issue a subcontract to Bell South in the Huntsville area on a sole source basis for the following projects: 1) Installation of a selfhealing, fully redundant, and diverse OC- 48 SONET fiber optic ring between two buildings located at MSFC and Bell South Central Offices 2) Transition two existing light gates which provide MSFC with dial tone via DOD and DID trunk lines and furnish access to all Intra-LATA circuits--The ring will consist of at least four nodes--Interested parties have 15 days from publication date of this synopsis to request a copy of the Request for Proposal--Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
