Garvin, Contracting Officer, (912) 673-4609 Naval Submarine Base, Kings Bay plans to solicit proposals for its Base Operating Services Contract in the late summer, early fall timeframe of this year, 1995. This synopsis should serve as early notice of these plans. Due to the large size and complex nature of this contract, prospective contractors may wish to begin preparation early. Price range for the upcoming contract is expected to be between $160,000,000.00 and $220,000,000.00 for the entire period of performance. Base year performance is scheduled to commence 1 October 1996. The contract period includes the base year and four option years, for a total possible performance period of five years. Kings Bay is planning to issue the solicitation on compact disk. In order to use the compact disk, proposers must have a computer with at least 8 meg of RAM and Windows software. To print the solicitation, proposers must utilize an ink- jet or laser printer. This synopsis is not announcing a Request for Proposals. This is merely notice that a procurement is forthcoming.
