Corner Search 12 each, Control Survey 9.4 miles, Monumented Corners 19
each, Boundary Lines Marked and Posted 3.4 miles, Maintenance of
Corners 0 each and Recording of Plats 1 each. Project is located
approximately 10 air miles North of Truckee and 12 air miles Southeast
of Sierraville in Sections 22, 27, 28 of T.19N., R.16 E., MDM. Project
elevation range between 5,400 and 6,600 foot elevation. Estimated start
date is Aug 28, 1995. Contract time is approximately 90 days. Firms
having a current (Submitted after Jan 1, 1995) SF-254 on file with the
Tahoe National Forest need not file again, but must submit a completed
SF-255 for this project by August 22, 1995, C.O.B., to the Tahoe
National Forest, P.O. Box 6003, Nevada City, CA. 95959-6003, Attn:
Contracting. All other firms must submit both a completed SF-254 and
SF-255 by the above due dates. To obtain forms call (916) 478-6125. In
order for a firm to be qualified they must show proof of qualification
for the professional('s) in charge by providing the following: States
registered in, state registration number, date of registration and
registration expiration date. In evaluating firms, the following
criteria and descriptors will be applied in descending order of
importance: (1) Specialized experience and technical competence in the
type of work required. Specialized qualifications and experience of
professionals and other key personnel assigned to this project,
including technical skills, management skills, and project coordination
in completing projects similar to the type and size of work solicited
herein. (2) Professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory
performance of required services. The firm's and subcontractor's
capacity, technical competence and qualifications for satisfactory
performance of projects similar to the type and size of the projects
solicited, including the percent of time the professionals will be in
the field, assigned to the project. (3) Past performance on contracts
with Government agencies and private industry in terms of cost control,
quality of work, and compliance with performance schedules. Greater
consideration will be given to firms demonstrating previous performance
on contracts similar to the type and size of the project solicited
herein. (4) Capacity to accomplish the work in the required time.
Firm's ability to demonstrate that previous contracts of record,
similar to the project herein, have been completed within contract time
and have met contract requirements with initial effort. (5) Location in
the general geographical area of the project and knowledge of the
locality of the project; given the nature and size of the project.
Greater consideration will be given to firms demonstrating previous
performance on contracts performed in central Sierra Nevada Mountains
(within or adjacent to the Tahoe National Forest) similar to the
project herein, knowledge of historical local surveying practices,
record repositories, land ownership patterns and proximity of the firm
to the project area. (6) The volume of work previously awarded within
the past five years by the Forest Service in California will be
evaluated with the objective of effecting an equitable distribution of
the contracts among qualified A & E firms, including minority, 3(a),
or small disadvantaged firms that have not had prior Forest Service
contracts. (7) Additional points may be assigned or credit given to
potential contractors that are or will subcontract with certified 8(a)
or other small disadvantaged businesses. 100 percent set aside for LSA
