SYMPOSIUM ON TIMELY REALIZATION OF AFFORDABLE MILITARY SYSTEMS THROUGH ENHANCED MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY. The Symposium on Timely Realization of Affordable Military Systems Through Enhanced Manufacturing Technology will be held October 18-20 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Jointly sponsored by the Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA), Joint Advanced Strike Technology (JAST) and Sandia National Laboratories (SNL), the symposium will address timely, affordable manufacturing of military systems through new developments in lean/flexible manufacturing, product representation and data sharing, and modeling and simulation. Technology developments will be examined for application to expedited product realization and reduced manufacturing costs. The purpose of the symposium is to increase opportunities to form alliances among industries, government agencies, universities and federal laboratories to pursue efforts that reduce the development risks and lifecycle costs of military systems. Unclassified abstracts of less than 200 words from technical presenters, collaborative session owners and technical exhibitors must be received no later than July 31, 1995.
