Provide unlimited access and dumping of solid waste mix and provide maximum secondry recycling of cardboard and other recyclable items items per scope of service. The US Soldiers' & Airmens' Home dump truck will deliver the solid waste mix to the dump site 6 days a week (Monday through Saturday). Each bidder shall insert the number of miles their dump site is from the US Soldiers' & Airmen's Home, 3700 North Capitol St, NW, Washington, DC 20317-0002 and a transportation factor of $3.92 per mile will be added to each bid. It is the government's intent to make one award to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder who's overall bid (including travel expense) is lower than the cost to dump at Lorton Landfill (including travel expenses). Written request for this solicitation should be mailed (or faxed to 202-722-3554) to the above address.
