FY95 MCA PN 41064, Whole Barracks Renewal, Phase 1A, Schofield Barracks, Oahu, Hawaii. The proposed contract is unrestricted. This project involves the construction of two standard-design barracks. Project includes living/sleeping rooms with bath, walk-in closets, and elevators. A detached common use building will be provided adjacent to the barracks and will include bulk storage, activity room, laundry and other common use/service type functions. Infrastructure for cable television service will be provided. Demolish three buildings (18,720 SF) located at the site. Removal of exterior and interior lead base paint is required prior to demolition of the existing buildings located at the site. Supporting facilities include utilities, electric service, exterior lighting, fire protection and alarm systems including sprinklers, paving, walks, curbs and gutters, parking, storm drainage, information systems, and site improvements. Air conditioning: 150 tons. As option items, this construction project also includes maintenance of Air Conditioning System, Fire Sprinkler System, Elevator System, Fire Alarm System, Electrical Distribution System for the completed buildings for a period of two years after beneficial occupancy date. Pre-bid conference will be held approximately two weeks after the issuance of solicitation. The estimated cost of the proposed project is over $10 million. Solicitation to be issued O/A July 25, 1995. Documents to be available at $194.00 per set of specifications and full-size drawings, or $108.00 per set of specifications and half-size drawings. Single copies of specifications alone may be purchased by interested applicants for $35.00. Full-size drawings alone may be purchased for $159.00 a set, and half-size drawings alone for $73.00 a set.
