is not limited to, furnishing all labor, material, equipment, and
plant necessary to construct an approximately 24,000 sf dining hall,
medical training, and physical fitness testing facility. Facility shall
be reinforced concrete, masonry, and steel frame building with a poured
caisson type foundation and supporting access pavements, utilities, and
site work to include a water retention structure. Project includes a
standing seam metal roof, water source heat pump HVAC system, and major
components of commercial kitchen equipment. Project includes the
partial demolition of one residential type building (approximately
2,000 sf). Project also includes the rehabilitation and renovation of
the existing dining and medical training areas and other offices for
new office areas (approximately 8,500 sf). All work is at the 181st
Fighter Group, Hulman Field, Terre Haute, Indiana. Period of
performance is 365 days after notice to proceed. Estimated magnitude of
construction is between $1 million and $5 million. All general
contractors interested in bidding this project must request in writing
an IFB from the USPFO For Indiana, Attn: Contracting, 2002 South Holt
Road, Indianapolis, IN 46241-4839. One set of IFB documents will be
available to general contractors on/about 17 July 1995 on a ``first
come'' basis. A complete set of bid documents has been sent to F.W.
Dodge Co., Construction League of Indianapolis, and Construction Market
Data. Bid opening is scheduled on/about 18 August 1995. A Pre-Bid
Conference is tentatively scheduled for 1:00 PM local time, Wednesday,
2 August 1995, at the Base Engineer Office, Hulman Field, Terre Haute,
IN. No other site visits will be conducted. A firm-fixed price contract
will be awarded as a result of this solicitation. A bid bond in the
amount of 20% or $3 million (whichever is less) will be required. The
procurement will be ``unrestricted.'' Women-owned, small and
small-disadvantaged businesses are encouraged to compete. All
responsible firms may submit a bid which will be considered. A
subcontracting plan will be required if the successful bidder is a
large business. The SIC is 1542 with size standard of $17 million.
