Z -- REROOF FOUR RELAY STATION BUILDINGS POC POC Mr. Ken Leonard, Construction Manager, Philippines Relay Station, Phone/Facsimile (Tinang) 011-63-452-982-0254 or Phone (Manila) 011-632- 526-3865 Complete removal and proper disposal of the existing roof system, and replacement (including design) with a new roof system on buildings at two of VOA's transmitter sites located near the towns of Tinang and Poro on the island of Luzon, Philippines. The reroofing consists of three (3) build-ings at the Tinang site, and one (1) building at the Poro site. The Tinang site reroofing consists of the Transmitter Building (app. 34,700 sf/3,230 sm), Warehouse Building (app. 14,600 sf/1,360 sm), and UHF Building (app. 1,700 sf/ 160 sm). The Poro site reroofing consists of the Transmitter Building (app. 24,700 sf/2,300 sm). The new roof system for all four buildings shall include new roof insulation and a new single-ply EPDM roof membrane. The contractor shall design, furnish, and install a new roof system for each of the four separate buildings. The total estimated design/construction cost range for all four buildings is between U.S. $250,000 and $500,000; and the proposed period of performance is completion of all work within eight months from issuance of a Notice-To-Proceed. To be considered, interested firms must have demonstrated prior design/construction experience in the above-stated type of membrane roofing system. USIA intends to issue a solicitation document (RFP) for this negotiated firm-fixed-price procurement in August 1995, with a pro- posal response date of 30 calendar days after RFP issuance. On-site prepro- posal visits will be held at the Philippines Tinang and Poro sites during August 1995. Solicitation, negotiation, and contract award will be conducted in-country at the VOA Philippines Relay Station. Qualified offerors may request a copy of the forthcoming solicitation by submitting a written request to the USIA Contracting Officer at the above-listed address by July 31, 1995. All responsible sources may submit a proposal in response to the forthcoming solicitation document, and all proposals shall be considered by the Agency. This notice is not a RFP. (0187)
