The total length of the sewer mains is approximately 1627 meters (5300 ft). The work includes construction of 4 new manholes, replacing 20 of the 25 existing manholes, and re-routing approximately 150 meters (512 ft) of sewer mains and reconnection of service connections and other related items of work such as trenching and backfill and replacement of landscaping. This project will be executed through the use of PIPE BURST PROCESS for line replacement. Work will also include some pavement repair and sidewalk repair as required by sewer line replacement. All street crossings will be by boring, no excavation of road pavement will be allowed. Contractor should be prepared to show proof of experience with the PIPE BURST PROCESS. Work shall be performed at and on Reese AFB, located 10 miles west of Lubbock, TX. Invitation for Bids will be issued on or about 07 Aug 95 with a tentative bid opening date of 08 Sep 95. Performance time is 120 calendar days. The magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. A bid guarantee amount of twenty percent (20%) shall be submitted with the bid on the proper forms. This is full and open competition. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1623. The related small business size standard is $17 million. Small and Small Disadvantaged business concerns are encouraged to participate in this request.
