The Shape Technical Center is requesting nominations from qualified and certified companies to bid for an integrated ATM testbed that will be internetworking with STC's ISDN, Satcom, FDDI and Ethernet Lan Testbeds. This equipment will be used in a system development/integration/demonstration environment. Particularly they will be used to support routing and bridging of FDDI and Ethernet LAN traffic over ATM, and to access to an ATM switch at the standardized user-to-network interface (UNI) at 8-155MBPS, using multimode optical fibre. In the absence of an ATM switch, these equipment will also be required to operate back-to-back supporting signallingprotocols and functions of an ATM switch. Additionally, since the equipment are expected to be COTS, they should be built, operated and performed in accordance with relevant international standards.
