65 -- SOUND BOOTHS SOL 674-21-95 DUE 081895 POC Contact Point, Kathryn Shelton, (817)771-4505Additional Contact, Chief, Acquisition Section, (817)771-4505 This medical center plans to purchase between three and six double wall audiometric sound booths, subject to the availability of funds at time of award, for new bed replacement building at the Temple facility and a one-room audiometric sound room for the Austin Satellite Outpatient Clinic. The audiometric sound booths, each with double wall exam suite and single wall control suite, must be designed to fit into a pit, which will be specified in the solicitation document. Booths must have appearance enhancement package, inner floor to ceiling height of exam rooms to be no less than seven feet, at a minimum all exam rooms shall be shielded, and design of booths shall accommodate two structural pillars. Booths will conform to VA Spec X-1438(b) with specified modifications. The soundroom for the Austin Clinic is for a one-room audiometric soundroom and related clinical equipment. Contractor to whom booths are awarded must be willing to delay delivery of the boo5ths until notified by contracting officer that the space is ready for installation of the booths, a period of several months.
