The National Institutes of Health's (NIH), Clinical Center intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Ion Optix Corporation, 44 Parkway Crescent, Milton, MA 02186, under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) as set forth in FAR 6.302-1 for 1 each, CLS100A Ion Optix 50 Ratio/sec, Dual Excitation Light source with 1 each FSI600 Ion Optix Fluorescence Interface; 1 each, ICD100 Intensified CCD Camera; 1 each, GP9032 Gateway Pentium Based, 1 each, IBM PC/AT compatible computer system; 2 each, FG1DR PCI Local-bus frame grabber; 1 each, SWING Ion Optix Fluorescence Acquisition and Analysis Software; 1 each, Puff - 3 Channel Puffer Superfusion System; installation and training (2-3 days). Delivery 2-4 weeks ARO. It is the Government's belief that these requirements can be met only by Ion Optix Corporation. All responses must be written and received within 45 calendar days from the published date of this notice. No solicitation document exists. Oral communication is not acceptable and will not be honored. Any firm believing it has the ability to meet the Government's requirement is invited to respond to this notice furnishing clear and convincing documentation demonstrating their ability to meet, at a minimum, all the stated performance and capabilities including pricing to the address listed in this synopsis. A determination by the Government to open the requirement to competition is based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
