C -- ROOFING CONSULTANT SERVICES FOR FACILITIES IN TEXAS, TO THE EXTENT OF THE AREA COVERED BY THE HOUSTON AND SAN ANTONIO DISTRICTS. SOL 482980-95-A-0162. DUE 081195. Contact Sherman Sims, 214/819-7236. Roofing consultant services for facilities within the State of Texas to the extent of the area covered by the Houston and San Antonio Districts. Work may consist of providing detailed plans and specifications for various types of roof replacements; consulting services on new facility roofs; and review construction contract drawings and/or specifications concerning roof work which may include submitting written reports giving an analysis and evaluation of proposed roof work and recommendations. More than one firm may be selected for this project. The Indefinite Quantity Contract will be for five years, with individual work orders being issued. Each work order will be negotiated as an individual project. Work orders for any one project cannot exceed $100,000 and the total contract cannot exceed $500,000 for each 12-month contract period. The total amount of work ordered over the five-year period may not exceed $2,500,000 or be less than $5,000. Firms that have the qualifications to perform the services described previously are invited to submit a completed SF 255, Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire for Specific Project, with emphasis on roofing inspector qualifications provided by primary firm and a completed SF 254, Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaie; and a completed SF 254 for each of its proposed consultants to the office shown above, postmarked not later than August 11, 1995. The selection will be conducted by using the submitted SF 255 and the SF 254s. Interested firms with more than one office must indicate on their SF 255 the staffing composition of the office in which the work will be performed. Consideration will be given to firms responding to this advertisement in accordance with the instruction in the following order of preference: 1. Local (Within the Houston, TX and San Antonio, TX city limits); 2. Within the State of Texas; and 3. Out of State. Roofing Consultant firms will be considered as local only if their sole office is in the local geographical area or they have a local branch office and all the architectural design, coordination, and management of the project will be performed in that office. The contract contains a requirement for firms to provide evidence of current insurance of $200,000 of errors and omissions per claim. Participation of Minority-Owned Businesses as a consultant (M.E.P., Civil, Structural) to the prime A/E firm is a requirement in the architect-engineer selection. It is prohibited to pay any fee, commission, percentage, or brokerage fee to any person or firm contingent upon or resulting from award of a contract for this project.
